Hello!

My name is Aimie Bissonnette. I am currently a college student studying 3D animation and UX design at Savannah College of Art and Design. I focus on animating horses and other creatures for games and film. I have much experience around horses and have worked in caring for horses since I was child as well as riding. My recent job was as a horse care professional and spent my time looking after the horses, exercising them and looking after the barn. I have experience in Maya, Procreate, Clip studio, and Photoshop.

As a child I have always been infatuated by the idea of art, specifically animation. Ever since middle school I had made it my goal to learn how to animate and make it a career of mine. I spent most of my time in high school taking art classes that my school could offer me which were mostly AP art class that I could take. In order to learn how to animate I had to reach out to summer camps. Around sophomore year every summer I went to a program called Elite Animation Academy in order to learn more about 2D animation, storyboarding, character design, and digital painting. I had learned a lot and was able to bring this knowledge with me into my freshman year of SCAD.

Along with all this, horses are creatures I've always felt incredibly close to. Ever since I was a child I have been around these animals mainly because I started to ride as a kid. Throughout learning about animation and watching shows I realized horses where either animated incredibly wrong or where creatures that artist chose to avoid. My mission in my career is to include more horses in animated shows and games and be able to help people feel more comfortable in accepting horses into their projects.
